Jason’s music style is a contemporary blend of blues/soul/jazz/folk and pop-rock. Upon completing his Masters degree in contemporary music he was unearthed by Triple j gaining high rotation on the prestigious radio station.
The unique lyrics and easy-to listen-to melodies were compiled to form his first self-titled album called “Trouble”, which came out in 2012. Jason plays a diverse range of tunes at over 40 different venues throughout the East Coast. He has also traveled internationally to play at private parties/weddings including EBay’s Christmas party (NYC) and Myer’s Ladies day function with 1200 guests (Darwin).Delphin has also performed live on channel 7’s Sunrise and Kerri Anne Kennedy’s Morning Show.
In 2009 Jason signed a record deal with Rocking Horse/ EMI. 2010 saw Delphin tour for 12 months on the back of his debut release. Continuously striving for more, he went on to study at S.A.E Institute and completed his Bachelor of Audio Engineering. Jason went a step further in 2013 and built his own studio, “Polysix Recordings” within his home in North Coast NSW.With over 300 cover songs, from the contemporary Jazz of Sinatra to the uptown Funk of Bruno Mars, Delphin’s industrious one-man band approach is why he can move a 1200 capacity corporate venue onto the dance floor within minutes.
Delphin views himself as a musicologist and can tailor his sound to each client’s individual and specific request. Jason is always up for a challenge and spends his free time rehearsing new material and researching the latest techniques and hardware within the industry.
